Hafiz Saeed Rehmaan Missing Person
SIX years after Hafiz Saeed Rehman went missing from Sariab Road Quetta, the police dug up a grave to look for him. The High Court ordered that a body be exhumed because Quetta police, after giving half a dozen other explanations for his disappearance, had started saying that Hafiz Saeed had been killed. His father Allah Bakhsh Bangulzai who has been campaigning for his son’s release for nine years, didn’t believe the police. “I knew it wasn’t his grave, I knew my son wasn’t dead,” insists Allah Bakhsh, who runs a small grocery store near his house. Allah Baksh Bangulzai’s faith wasn’t just the faith of a father who can’t bring himself to believe that his eldest son might be dead. He had seen with his own eyes the body that was buried in that grave. Nine year earlier looking for his newly disappeared son Allah Baksh had done the rounds of the mortuaries. “They showed me two bodies,” says Allah Baksh. He had a really good look. “They were both my son’s age. One boy had his throat slit. Another one had his legs cut off just below his knees. I was relieved neither of them was my son.”
Hafiz Saeed became one of almost 1300 disappeared Baloch citizens whose families have been holding almost a perpetual vigil for their release. They travel from distant villages and towns to hold three-month-long protest camps outside Islamabad and Karachi Press Club but our press usually ignores them. When Voice of Missing Baloch Persons recently held a rally to mark one thousand days of their protest, no TV channels covered it.
After his visit to the local morgue, Allah Baksh was convinced that his son was alive. For next six years Allah Baksh’s son kept making fleeting appearances in various reports, official documents and court hearings. Once it was admitted in Balochistan High Court that he was in the custody of our intelligence organisations. Once he was told that his son had been sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment because he was a terrorist. Then the high court was told that he was doing his time in Gujranwala jail. But after six years of running up down the country and knocking at every one’s door Allah Baksh stood besides a grave waiting for a body to be exhumed, certain in his heart that it wouldn’t be his son.
Hafiz Saeed left his home on the evening of July 4, 2003. It was a Friday and there had been a huge bomb blast in the area. Forty people died in that blast and soon after a curfew was imposed. “He came home after his maghreb prayers, got on his bicycle and left,” remembers Allah Baksh. He repeats the same details over and over again as if he has missed something and if he can remember the exact sequence of events, he’ll find out where his son is right now. “There was a curfew in our part of the city, the curfew started at 6pm and Hafiz left home at 6.15.” Six years of searching his memory and he still has no answer why his son left home just after the curfew came into effect. “May be he thought if you are on a bicycle nobody will bother you. May be he didn’t know that a curfew has been imposed. I don’t know what he was thinking.”
Hafiz Saeed was 25 when he disappeared. He was an obedient and bright son. He had done his Hifz-i-Quran by the age of 15. He went on to do his matric privately. He was teaching other children Hifz-i-Quran at Iqra School. He was the eldest in the family and was engaged to be married a year after he disappeared.
With his madressha background, his teaching job, his beard and his shalwar above his ankle, a lot of people, specially the security forces, tend to jump to the conclusion that Hafiz must have been somehow involved with some religious cult, some jihadi organisation. “He never did any of those things. After finishing his teaching work at school, he came straight to my shop in Gharib Abad and helped me out. He had cousins who were also madressah teachers. Sometimes they visited. I never heard anything political. He was very pious, yes, but he was a straight boy. He was the eldest of my children, he was close to me. I would have known.”
Hafiz Saeed didn’t return home that night. “My son had never not spent a night at home. I got worried. I started looking.”
Hafiz Saeed and his family had no personal enmity. His father assumed that Saeed had been picked up by the law-enforcing agencies for violating the curfew. He thought about kidnapping for ransom but told himself that who would expect a ransom from someone as poor as him. He registered an FIR, did the rounds of the hospitals and asked everyone he could.
“Fifteen days later a man came looking for me,” says Allah Baksh. “He came on a motorbike, introduced himelf as Yasin from MI.” Yasin from MI asked Allah Baksh if his son Hafiz Saeed was involved with any Jihadi organisation. “I told him that he wasn’t involved with anyone or anything except his teaching and my shop.” The man on the motorbike assured Allah Baksh that MI will investigate and if he was with any of the law-enforcing agencies, he’ll be released.” For next three months Allah Baksh kept looking but didn’t hear anything from anywhere. He filed a petition in the high court. The petition has been going on for eight years, now, but not once has he seen a glimpse of his son despite various orders by the court saying that a meeting should be arranged between the missing person and his family. He has not had any kind of contact with his son during this time.
In the intial hearing a statement submitted on behalf of the ISI said that Hafiz Saeed had been arrested after he was injured in the bomb blast and he was being interrogated. Crime Branch also confirmed in a separate report that Hafiz Saeed was in the custody of ‘sensitive agencies’. The high court instructed that a meeting be arranged with the family. The meeting never happened. Instead Crime Branch submitted another report, this time saying that Hafiz Saeed wasn’t in the custody of ‘sensitive agencies’.
Allah Baksh wrote letters to President, to Chief Justice but never heard back. For 11 months he sat in a protest camp outside Quetta Press Club. For all these years there was no sighting, no news of his son but he didn’t give up.
Then out of the blue a list surfaced in Quetta High Court in 2009. There were 13 missing people on it. They were all supposed to be serving time in jails. Hafiz Saeed was on it. According to the list he had been court martialled and sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment. The report said that he was in Gujranwala jail.
Allah Baksh managed to contact HRCP who sent one of its people to Gujranwala jail. The jail authorities said they didn’t have Hafiz Saeed. Allah Bakhsh went back to the high court and this time police filed a submission that Hafiz Saeed had actually been killed in that blast and buried.
By now Hafiz Saeed had been suspected of being involved in the blast, suspected of being injured in the blast, and now six years later his family was being told that Hafiz Saeed had actually died in the blast. Allah Baksh reminded the court that his son had left home four hours after the blast happened. High court ordered a DNA test. Police were basically saying that one of the bodies that they had shown Allah Baksh six years ago was his son’s. “I had had a good look at those bodies,” Allah Baksh again gives a graphic description of the slit throat and decapitated legs. “That wasn’t my son.”
Before they exhumed the body that wasn’t his son’s, they gave him some clothes and asked if he recognised them. “These clothes didn’t belong to my son. After he became a Hafiz-i-Quran he never wore a shirt with buttons. But just to make sure I took these clothes to show his mother. And she also said that these were not his clothes.”
The body was exhumed and as Allah Baksh had predicted it wasn’t his son. He was relieved. But not for long. He says that secretly he envies people who have found the bodies of their loved-ones. “They have buried them and now they mourn them,” he says. “All I can do is wait.”
And while he waits, Allah Baksh can’t stop thinking of the events of that fateful evening. “What I don’t understand is that he came home after offering his maghrib prayers. There had already been a bomb blast. Then he took his bicycle and went out. There was curfew outside. I don’t know why he went out.”

Mama Qadeer Abducted By Paki Agency
“Pakistani agencies abducted a Baloch student from Gulshan e Mehmar Karachi,” Said Mama Qadeer voice chairman of VBMP, “Manzoor Ahmed Qalandarani has been abducted by Pakistani agencies from Gulshan e Mehmar last night at 12:00 AM, he was studying in Iqra University Karachi”.
Mr Manzoor is son of Mir Mushtaq Qalandarani a tribal elder of tootak, Balochistan.
The voice chairman of VBMP further said that 30 of Manzoor’s relatives and friends were abducted by agencies last year from Totak Khuzdar, his ancestral village. Two of them Maqsood Qalandarni and Naeem Qalandarni were martyred and the rest are still missing.
He said we fear that they all will be martyred. Qadeer further said that Pakistan is trying to hide its defeat but internal conflicts within the occupier are showing up. He said Pakistan is paying its stooges for the genocide of Baloch and is guiding them in every step being taken in Balochistan. Pakistani forces, politicians and stooges of ISI are all united on Baloch genocide.
A delegation of BNM Zehri visited the camp of Baloch missing persons to express solidarity with the families.
While talking to the delegation, Mama Qadeer said that in the name of peace forces are tasked for the Baloch genocide. The purpose of this is to strengthen the occupation of Pakistan on Balochistan.
“22 years old Saeed S/O Master Maula Baksh was abducted by forces from Panjgur when he was returning from Tump after having picnic with his friends. He said armed man interrupted their vehicles and abducted Saeed Baloch. Police has registered the case against unknown persons but we know who is behind abduction of Baloch students and the police also know but they are afraid from naming the secret agencies in FIR,” said Mama Qadeer.
He further said: “Baloch nation is on the path of Liberation and have failed the tactics of occupier. Baloch nation has rejected all the parliamentarians, stooges of Pakistan and its so-called elections in Balochistan

آباد: تحریک طالبان پاکستان نے اس بات کی تردید کی ہے کہ اس نے تحریک
منہاج القرآن کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر طاہر القادری کے14 جنوری کے مجوزہ طویل مارچ
پر حملہ کرنے کی دھمکی دی ہے۔ تحریک طالبان کے ترجمان احسان اللہ احسان نے
کسی نامعلونم مقام سے اے ایف پی کو بذریعہ فون بتایا کہ اس میں کوئی صداقت
نہیں ہے اور یہ محض افواہ ہے۔ تھریک طالبان کی جانب سے ایسا کوئی بیان
جاری نہیں کیا گیا ہے کہ مارچ کو نشانہ بنایا جائے گا۔ احسان نے مزید کہا
کہ تحریک طالبان کا طویل مارچ سے کوئی سرو کار نہیں ہے۔پیر کو وزیر داخلہ
عبد الرحمٰن ملک نے کہاتھا کہ طالبان انتہا پسندوں نے انتخابی اصلاحات کے
مطالبہ پر زور ڈالنے کے لیے نکالی جانے والی ریلی پر حملہ کرنے کی دھمکی دی
ہے ۔لیکن حکومت اس طویل مارچ کو نہیں روکے گی بلکہ اسے بھرپور تحفظ بہم
پہنچایا جائے گا۔ طاہر القادری نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا ہے کہ وہ کسی بھی
حالت میں اپنے طویل مارچ کا فیصلہ واپس نہیں لیں گے۔قادری نے کہا کہ
انشائاللہ طویل مارچ14جنوری کو حسب پروگرام ہو گا اور پرامن رہے گا۔طاہر
القادری قرآن پاک کی تعلیمات کے عین مطابق زندگی گذارنے کا درس دینے والی

قومی جدوجہد میں شہید ثناءسنگت کا مقام

موجودہ بلوچ قومی آزادی کی تحریک اکیسویں صدی کے شروع ہوتے ہی
ایک قومی طاقت کے ساتھ ابھرکر سامنے آئی جس نے بہت کم اور مختصر مدت میں بڑی پزیرائی
حاصل کرلی اور پہلی مرتبہ بلوچ عوام نے ہر سطح پر تحریک کو نہ صرف سپورٹ کیا بلکہ آزادی
کی موجودی لہر سے بڑی توقعات اور امیدیں بھی وابستہ کرلیں۔تربت میں بی ایس او کی کونسل
سیشن میں شکست وریخت یا انقلابی تحریک کی نئی صف بندی سے ڈاکٹر اللہ نزر کی قیادت میں
بلوچ نوجوان بڑی چاہ کے ساتھ جوق در جوق تحریک سے منسلک ہوگئے جس نے بعد میں یا آج
ایک مظبوط شکل وصورت میں عوام کواجتماعی طور پر منظم کررکھا ہے (اندرونی چپقلش یا تضادات
کو ابھار کر غلط فہمیاں پیدا کرنے والے عناصر زیر بحث نہیں )بحرل حال مجموعی طور پر
بلوچ سماج آزادی کی موجودہ تحریک اور قیادت جن میں نواب خیر بخش ،ڈاکٹر اللہ نزر،حیر
بیار مری ،براہمدگ بگٹی قابل زکر ہیں پر متفق ہیں اگر کوئی بڑی بد بختی آڑے نہ آئی
تو عوام کا اعتماد ان کے ساتھ ہوگا ۔بی ایس او کی تشکیل کے بعد ڈاکٹر اللہ نزر کی قابل
رشک قیادت نے اس سیاسی جمود کو فوری طور پر توڑ کر ناکارہ بنادیا جسے پارلیمنٹ کے دلداہ
بے ضمیر رہبروں نے گروہی عیاشیوں کی خاطر قومی سوچ و فکر کا لبادہ اوڑھا کر اپنی سلامتی
کی خاطر برقرار رکھا تھا ۔ڈاکٹر کی اغواءنما گرفتاری اور بعد میں بی ایس او آذاد کی
ایک انضمامی مراحل کے بعد قیام نے بلوچ نوجوانوں کو مزید منظم کردیا اور ان پر آشوب
حالات میں چند قابل فکر لیڈر ابھر کر سامنے آئے جن کی بدولت بی ایس او روز بروز مظبوط،منظم
اور سیاسی اعتبار سے ایک قوت بنتی چلی گئی۔ان پر آشوب انقلابی حالات میں جہاں مزاحمتی
تحریک اپنی قومی خد خال کے ساتھ دنیا کو متوجہ کررہی تھی بی ایس او کی ناقابل شکست
لیڈرشپ زاکر مجید،بشیر زیب ،گہار کریمہ ،کامریڈ کمبر چاکر اور سنگت ثناءشہید کی صورت
میں قومی سطح پر بلوچ عوام کو یہ اعتماد دینے میں کامیاب ہورہی تھی کہ اب گروہی یا
زاتی مفادات کا حامل کوئی مداری نما سیاست دان ان کے ارمانوں کا سوداگر نہیں ہوسکتابی
ایس او کی مرکزی قیادت میں شامل سنگت ثناءجو قبائلی معاشرے سے نکل کر قومی جہد کا حصہ
بن گئے تھے اپنی اٹوٹ جدوجہد اور ناقابل شکست افکار کی بدولت واقعی ایک اہم لیڈر بن
بن گئے وہ بی ایس او میں ڈاکٹر اللہ نزر اور زاکر مجید کے بعد واحد رہنما تھے جنہوں
نے کسی بھی دوسرے رہنما کی نسبت پورے بلوچستان کا تنظیمی دورہ کیا ہر زون حتی کہ کم
وبیش بی ایس او کے ہر یونٹ تک آپ نے دورہ کر کے نوجوانوں کو منظم کرنے میں رہبرانہ
قومی کردار ادا کیا ۔اس دوران جب ثناءسنگت مرکزی قائد کی غیر موجودگی میں زاکر جان
کے ساتھ سر فیس سیاست میں بلوچ عوام بالخصوص نوجوانوں کو کو تحریک سے جوڑ رہے تھے ان
کے دامن کو بہت حوالوں سے داغدار کرانے کی کوشش بھی کی گئی ۔جہد مسلسل کے اس ناقابل
شکست رہبر کو جن کا رابطہ تنظیم کے ہر کارکن تک یکساں تھا ہم جیسے لوگوں نے کھبی قبائلی
شخص،کھبی زاتی نمائش کا پیرو کار اور پتہ نہیں کیا کیا القابات سے نوازمگر وہ ان سب
کے باوجود اپنے کمٹمنٹ پر ثابت قدم رہے ۔ثناءسنگت کی سیاسی کمٹمنٹ یا بالغ نظری اور
قومی سوچ و فکر بی این ایف کی تشکیل اور اسے اپنی زندگی میں شہید غلام محمد کے ساتھ
قومی پلیٹ فارم کی حد تک کامیاب بنانے میں کسی سے ڑھکی چھپی نہیں جبکہ نواب اکبر خان
بگٹی کی شہادت کے بعد بی ایس او کا انقلابی رول اور دنیا کو فاشسٹ ریاست کے مکروہ صورت
سے آشکار کرانے میں اس عظیم انقلابی رہبر نے نمایاں کردار ادا کیا ۔جس وقت نواب اکبر
خان شہید کردیئے گئے اس وقت شہید کامریڈ ثناءسنگت تنظیمی زمہ داریوں کو نبھانے کے لئے
تربت زون کے دورے پر تھے وہاں انہوں نے اکبر خا ن کی شہادت کے رد عمل میں ریاست کے
خلاف سیاسی انداز میں جس قابل زکر انداز میں نوجوانوں کو منظم کیا وہ تاریخ کا ایک
حصہ ہے اس دوران تربت پولیس نے اس انقلابی رہبر کو احتجاجی جلوس کی قیادت کے کرتے ہوئے
گرفتار کرلیا جہاں میرے ایک دوست پولیس افسر کے کے بقول رات کی تاریکیوں میں ثناءسنگت
پر ناقابل زکر تشدد کیا جاتا تھا اور خفیہ اداروں کے اہلکار جیل آکر خود ان پر تشدد
کرتے اس دوست کے بقول مگر اپنے زخموں اور تشدد پر اس نے کھبیاف تک نہ کیا ثناءسنگت
کے ساتھ کچھ اور سیاسی رہنما بھی جیل میں بند تھے مگر ان سب اور شہید ثناءسنگت میں
تشدد سہنے میں زمین آسمان کا فرق تھا اس دوست کے مطابق انہوں نے جیل میں مقامی پولیس
اہلکاروں سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انقلابی حالات پر جامع لیکچر دیا اور بطور بلوچ انہیں
قومی زمہ داریوں کااحساس دلایا بعد میں چند بلوچ پولیس اہلکاروں نے ثناءسنگت پر تشددکرنے
سے انکار کردیا ۔زاتی یا گروہی مفادات کو پرے رکھ قومی جہد سے اصولی کمٹ منٹ پر شہید
کی بالغ نظری ااور کمٹمنٹ کا ایک اور ثبوت یہ ہے کہ جب بی ایس او کا قومی کونسل سیشن
کوئٹہ میں منعقد ہورہاتھا اس دوران ان کے خلاف کافی لابنگ کی جارہی تھی اور آپ کو ان
سب کا اندازہ بھی تھا چونکہ ہر زون اور ہر یونٹ سے آپ کی قربت تھی اس صورت میں بطور
مرکزی چیئرمین شہید کے چانس زیادہ تھے مگر جس طرح ان کے خلاف کام کیاگیا وہ چیئرمین
نہ بن سکے مگر کونسلران کی ایک بڑی اکثریت ساتھ ہونے کے باوجود انہوں نے وہ قدم اٹھانے
سے گریز کیا جو ہمیشہ نالائق اور شکست خوردہ عناصر انقلابی تنظیم کے سینے پر چھرا گھونپ
کر اسے تقسیم کے مرحلے سے گزارتے تھے اگر شہید چاہتے تو اس دن وہ بھی ایسا کرسکتے تھے
مگر انہوں نے اپنی شکست کے بعد ایک تاریخی تقریر کی جو آج تک یوب ٹیوب پر موجود ہے
جس کی بدولت بی ایس او تقسیم سے بچ گئی اور مذید منظم شکل میں قومی جہد کو ابھارنے
میں کامیاب رہی۔ بی ایس او سے فراغت کے بعد شہید ثناءسنگت نے بی آر پی کے پلیٹ فارم
سے انقلابی عمل جاری رکھا اور اس وقت تک وہ قومی تحریک سے جڑے رہے جب اس فاشسٹ اور
دہشت گرد ریاست نے شہید کے قومی خیالات اور جہد سے خائف ہو کر آپ کو اغواءکیا ۔اغواءکے
غالبا دو سال بعد شہید ثناءسنگت کی لاش تربت مرگاپ سے برامد ہوئی گویا یہ بھی آپ کا
ایک اعزازتھا جس مقام کو شہید انقلاب شہید غلام محمد نے اپنے مقدس لہو سے اعزاز بخشا

مگر ان کا چہرہ بالکل سلامت اور منور تھا۔شہید ثناءسنگت انقلاب اور آزادی کے نام پر

انقلاب کی تکمیل تک انہیں جدوجہد کے گراں بار مراحل خندہ پیشانی سے عبور کرنے پر خراج

محمد یوسف کی موٹر سائیکلیں انکے گھروں کے اندر سے نامعلوم افراد لےکر فرار ہوگئے پولیس
کو اطلاع ملتے ہی ڈی ایس پی محمد رفیق اور ایس ایچ او صد ر پولیس تھانہ ہرنائی سجاد
احمد جائے موقع پر پہنچ کرنامعلوم چوروں کی تلاش شروع کردی جبکہ پولیس نے کارروائی
کرتے ایک شخص کو شک کی بناءپر گرفتار کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی گھروں کی اندر سے موٹر سائیکل
چوری کرنے کے بعد شہریوں شدید خوف وہراس پھیل گیا ڈی ایس پی پولیس محمد رفیق نے مقامی
صحافیوں سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ موٹر سائیکل چوری ملوث میں افراد کو جلد گرفتار
کرلے گئے انہوں نے کہا کہ پولیس نے شہر کے داخلی و خاری راستوں پر ناکے لگائے ہیں۔

فون کے ذریعے حملے کی ذمہ داری قبول کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ بلوچ سرمچاروں نے بولان کے
علاقے دزان کے مقام پر سیکورٹی فورسز کے کانوائے پر راکٹوں اور بھاری ہتھیاروں سے حملہ
کیا ترجمان نے دعویٰ کیا کہ حملے کے نتیجے میں6اہلکار ہلاک اور متعدد زخمی ہوئے ترجمان
نے کہا کہ ہماری اس طرح کی کارروائیاں مقصد کے حصول تک جاری رہیں گی تاہم دوسری جانب
فرنٹیئر کور کے ترجمان نے سیکورٹی فورسز پرحملے کے دعوے کومسترد کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس
طرح کا کوئی واقعہ پیش نہیں شرپسندعناصر جھوٹے اوربے بنیاد دعوے کررہے ہیں۔
